Ilfracombe Cricket Club re-established in 2016

After being forced to drop out of the league in 2014 due to a lack of players the club dissolved and the town of Ilfracombe had no cricket at all during the 2015 season despite once having multiple teams competing and winning at a very high level.

With the monumental amount of effort from a number of individuals over the last 3 years Ilfracombe Cricket Club now finds itself in an extremely strong position capable of putting out multiple match day teams.

Having won North Devon Division 5 in our first season back in league cricket league, we followed that up with a strong showing in North Devon Division 3, losing only two games and finishing 2nd. That was enough to gain promotion to North Devon Division 2 for the upcoming 2019 season.

In the past 2 years Ilfracombe Cricket Club has joined forces with Ilfracombe Rugby Club to create the towns first multiple sport facility, with some very large, exciting ground development plans already underway with an eventual aim of creating one of, if not the best Sporting ground in North Devon.

As well as the reformation of the 1st team and the exciting new ground plans, we also have a growing youth section, with as many as 50 children registered and taking part from ages 6+. Ilfracombe C.C. have 6 qualified coaches and are in partnership with the DCB and All Stars Cricket program in bringing the best possible opportunities to the young Ilfracombe Cricketers of the future.
